Reading the Sync History
The Configuration home screen lists recent sync runs. It's the first place to look when data isn't where you expect.
What each entry shows
- Result — Sync Completed or Sync Issues
- Duration — how long the run took
- Records Synced — how many succeeded, in both directions
- Records Failed — shown only when something failed; a link opens the list. It counts error entries written to the debug log during the run
- When it ran
Reading it
Sync Completed with a record count is a normal run.
Sync Completed with zero records means nothing changed since the last run — normal on a quiet org, worth a look if you know something changed.
Sync Issues means at least one record failed. The run itself continues; failed records are retried on later runs. See Why a sync failed.
No recent entries at all points at the sync being paused or the connection having dropped, not at individual records.
Duration tells you something too
A run that suddenly takes much longer than usual often means a bulk change in Salesforce. Pausing the sync during large imports avoids it — see Turning the sync on and off.
