Connecting Your Xero Organisation

Updated 3 Aug 2026

Once TwoCanConnect is installed, you connect it to Xero once. After that, your team works entirely inside Salesforce — they never need a Xero login.

Configuration → TwoCanConnect Configuration → Xero Authentication. Connected organisations, their short codes and status.

Authorise Xero

  1. In the TwoCanConnect app, open Configuration → Connection.
  2. Choose Connect to Xero. You'll be sent to Xero to log in and approve access.
  3. Pick the Xero organisation you want to connect, then confirm.

If you're connecting from a sandbox rather than Production, see Connecting from a sandbox below before you pick the organisation.

Connecting more than one Xero organisation

Your plan includes one Xero organisation. TwoCanConnect supports connecting several, each with its own settings and sync state — if you run more than one Xero entity, get in touch to purchase additional organisation slots.

See Connecting additional Xero organisations for how they work once you have them.

Connecting from a sandbox

A Sandbox is a good place to trial the connector against test data before switching it on in Production. If you do, connect a Xero Demo Company rather than your live Xero organisation. A sandbox is for experimenting: you'll create test invoices, re-run syncs and change mappings while you learn the tool. Pointed at your real Xero organisation, every one of those lands in your actual accounts and has to be voided or deleted by hand.

Xero gives every account a free Demo Company with sample contacts, products and invoices — ideal for this, and you can reset it whenever you like.

One Xero organisation, one Salesforce org

Don't connect the same Xero organisation to both a sandbox and Production at once. Two connectors syncing the same Xero organisation will compete with each other and can create duplicates. When you're ready to go live, disconnect the sandbox first.
