Adding TwoCanConnect to Your Page Layouts

Updated 2 Aug 2026

Installing the package doesn't change your page layouts. Until you add its components, users have to go looking for TwoCanConnect rather than finding it on the records they already use.

You don't have to do this through Salesforce Setup — TwoCanConnect ships a tool for it.

The Page Layout Editor

Configuration → Tools → Page Layout Tool.

Configuration → Tools → Page Layout Tool. One row per layout, one column per component.

It's a matrix: every Account and Opportunity page layout in your org is a row, and each TwoCanConnect component is a column with an Enable/Disable toggle.

What you can add

Account layouts

  • Summary fields
  • Invoice related list
  • Xero Contact related list
  • Repeating Invoice related list
  • Or Add all in a single toggle

Opportunity layouts

  • Summary fields
  • Invoice related list
  • Repeating Invoice related list
  • Or Add all

Opportunities have no Xero Contact column — the Xero contact belongs to the Account, not the deal.

Doing it in bulk

Each section has an Add To All Layouts row. On an org with ten Account layouts, that's one click instead of ten trips through Setup.

These toggles change Salesforce metadata immediately

Flipping a toggle edits the page layout there and then — there's no separate save step and no undo. If your layouts are heavily customised, do it in a sandbox first.

What matters most

Opportunity — the invoice related list, so a deal shows what has been billed against it.

Account — the Xero Contact link and invoice history. Finance staff answering "has this customer paid?" should see it here rather than opening Xero.
