Licence and Subscription Errors

Updated 20 Sept 2026

There are two kinds of licence problem, and they look different. They're usually quick to resolve once you know which one you have.

The licence has expired

When a trial ends or a subscription lapses, Salesforce revokes the package licence for the org. The sync stops, and users lose access to TwoCanConnect's objects and tabs until the licence is renewed. Nothing is deleted; records in Salesforce and Xero stay as they are, and renewing restores access and lets the sync resume from where it stopped.

Licence Status on Configuration home reads ACTIVE on a paid subscription and TRIAL, with the expiry date, during a trial. If you can't open the configuration at all, the licence has already lapsed; get in touch.

"You are not subscribed to the [feature] feature"

The full message is You are not subscribed to the Quote feature. Please contact TwoCanConnect to explore upgrade options. Your plan doesn't include the document type you're trying to use. Quotes need Professional and above, purchase orders need Advanced — see Plans and what's included.

Message wording

Some of these messages name a different feature than the one you clicked. If the wording doesn't match what you were doing, it's the plan gate rather than a fault — check which plan includes that document type.

Licence active but syncing stopped

Not a licence problem. Check the connection and whether the sync is paused — see Reconnecting an expired Xero connection.

Two cards, one glance

Connection Status and Licence Status sit together at the top of every configuration screen, which saves guessing which one you're looking at.
