Listings and Property References

Updated 1 Aug 2026

The listing reference is what makes a portal enquiry actionable. It's the difference between "someone is interested" and "someone is interested in 14 Example Street".

What's captured

The portal's listing reference and the property address, carried on every enquiry.

Connecting to your own property records

If you keep properties in Salesforce — as a custom object, typically — the listing reference is what links an enquiry to the right one. Map it and enquiries roll up to the property automatically.

That's what lets you answer "how many enquiries has this listing had?" without counting emails.

Not required

You don't need a property object. Without one, enquiries still carry the reference and address as fields — you just can't roll them up.

Vendor reporting

Enquiry counts per listing are what vendors actually want to hear at a weekly update. Rolling them up to a property record makes that report a click rather than an afternoon.
