Credit checks normally mean leaving Salesforce, logging into a portal, running a report, then copying the result back — or saving a PDF to someone's laptop where nobody else can find it.

What it does instead

  • Request a credit report from the Account record
  • Store the result against that record, where the team can see it
  • Trigger checks from Flow, so they happen automatically at the right stage (Enterprise Edition and above)
  • Keep an audit trail with a timestamp of who checked what and when

Why that matters

The audit trail is usually the deciding factor. When someone asks whether a credit check was done before terms were extended, "it's in the portal somewhere" isn't an answer — and a PDF on a laptop isn't either.

Report fees

Equifax report fees are billed at cost. The connector doesn't mark them up.
